Just happened to see this movie.. well i just liked it.. i am amply aware here of some very strong opinions..but i just loved it.. infact i watched it almost twice on the same day-- may be i went crazy or maybe i was toooooo romantic -- hahahaha-- whatever.. the point is the movie touched me ...
The scene where Lolitha is a kid and returns the kaliedoscope becuase she doesnt have money and then shekhar gives her the key for the pocket money chest--- i mean that is friendship with innocence manifested-- at this point i have purposely avoided the word love.. let that innocence be just plain and simple i dont want it garbled in some fancy but shallow words..
Another good one is when she ask for 1.5lacs.. Shekhar is almost into giving her the money.. that itself speaks a lot about how entwined they were..i am damn sure.. 90% of hysband and wives today would even think 10 times before fulfilling the demands made by their partners.. but look here .. in a flash..thats complete submission.. nothing short..great..
Even when That silli Lolita telss him that she had not gone to that night club.. just because he had scolded her.. that is just too .. i have no words as of now...but i just sat back and let the movie command me... it was awesome..
The best scene is when shekhar self inflicts himself when he realizes that he had hit Lolita with that same hand.. that showed that he was amply ashamed of himself..If one shows the courage to be ashamed or even sorry of what he had done.. its a great virtue..
